Your mission:
As a home care worker, you play a central role in the lives of vulnerable people: the elderly, the sick, people with disabilities, families in difficulty, etc. Thanks to your daily support, they can continue to live at home, surrounded by loved ones and receiving the support they need.
You always intervene with attentiveness, kindness and professionalism, taking into account the specific needs of each beneficiary and respecting their pace and independence.
Your responsibilities:
- Assistance with daily living:
- Laundry care, ironing, mending
- Shopping, meal preparation and assistance with eating
- Routine maintenance of the accommodation
- Transport assistance, pre- or post-natal assistance
- Health role:
- Assistance with washing, hair care, dressing
- Changing the protective covers
- Ensure that medicines are taken correctly
- Educational role:
- Advice on healthy living and adapting your home
- Support for families
- Capacity assessment and stimulation
- Relationship support:
- Attentive presence, listening, dialogue
- Moral support, palliative care support
- Social assistance:
- Simple administrative procedures
- Budget management assistance
- Referral to appropriate services
Above all: encourage the maintenance, development or restoration of independence, while supporting family carers.
Your profile:
- You hold one of the following qualifications: family and health auxiliary, family assistant, multi-skilled auxiliary for home and community services, nursery nurse, care assistant, nursing trainee, children's community instructor, children's auxiliary, children's education, education officer;
- You are familiar with the technical procedures associated with your role;
- You have a B licence as well as a personal vehicle ;
- You are autonomous, empathetic, discreet and have good interpersonal skills;
- You like the team work and have a sense of responsibility;
- You respect the rules of ethics.
